Current Status Of The Minnesota Health Act

The Minnesota Health Act is the enabling legislation for the Minnesota Health Plan. In the most recent legislative session, the Act received positive votes in the Senate Health, Housing and Family Security, Commerce and Consumer Protection, and Judiciary committees. In the House, it was successfully voted out of the Health Care and Human Services Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight Committee.

In the 2011 session, beginning in early January, the Act will receive new bill numbers and begin again it's trek through the relevant legislative committees.

Actions on Senate bill S.F. 118

note: because Senate bills are limited to five co-authors each, we need the duplicate bills SF416, 417, 418, 419 and 420 as vehicles for our many co-authors.

Actions on House bill H.F. 135

note: the House limit on co-authors is 35 and so a "copy cat" bill is necessary there, too. It is HF2256.
